The portal between New York and Dublin was established six days ago but surprise, surprise pure carnage and chaos has already unfolded between the two cities. In fact, it’s got to the point where the portal has been temporarily shut down because of all the bad behaviour but what exactly has gone down? 1. A man doing 50 push-ups
Let’s start with a wholesome moment where one man in New York was supported by those in Dublin as he attempted to do 50 push ups. Thankfully for his own dignity, he managed to do them all and got an adorable round of applause.

It wouldn’t be humanity if there wasn’t at least one person who decided to moon everyone else and give them some freshly pressed hams against the portal screen. One woman in Dublin did such a thing and was dragged away by law enforcement after grinding her butt against the screen, one bystander said she was “very drunk” and had been behaving erratically for “about 20 minutes” before being taken away.
4. A man sniffing a mystery white powder
One mystery man in Dublin was seen openly sniffing a bump of white powder that he’d poured out of a plastic bag before making bold eye contact with the onlookers through the portal. Ah, so cultural.

It was only going to be a matter of time before the OnlyFans girls got to the portal, with Ava Louise deciding that public exposure doesn’t apply in New York when it’s through a portal and she decided to flash the occupants of Dublin. A Dublin City Council spokesperson told LADbible: “The overwhelming majority of interactions are positive. Unfortunately, we have also been witnessing a very small minority of people engaged in inappropriate behaviour, which has been amplified through social media. We will continue to monitor the situation over the coming days with our partners in New York to ensure that Portals continue to deliver a positive experience for both cities and the world.”
The Portals Organisation said: “As Portals Organisation, we do not intend to suggest people to interact with Portals in any particular way – our goal is to open a window between faraway places and cultures that allows people to interact freely with one another. We encourage people to be respectful and from our position as observers, we see that the absolute majority of experiences is on the bright side.”
